Photo Geekery

Primarily for the photographically inclined of my friends,

OK, I've now got a lot of cataloging done. Approximately 15,000 images (probably an underestimate), and a few quirks are showing up.

Specifically, it seems to seize after doing some work, and won’t display the image information. On one occasion when I closed the application there was a message window in the background about updating date and time on all selected photos. Exiting and restarting the program seems to clear the seizure.

Also, on several occasions, when trying to reset some properties, or to access the program display options, the program closes on its own.

Since there doesn't seem to be a means to make a separate database 'collection' as there is in Photoshop Elements, I'm not sure what to do about this. On another hand, I've also received a message about backing up the ACDSee database, but haven't done that yet. Perhaps that will help. Not sure.

However, because I do know how to get around the size of database limitation in Elements, I'm contemplating going back to that.

In other news, it's been an nice, quiet Sunday.
