Now, for some time I'd been reminding myself that there are photos over on the Yahoo place I need to review and clean up. Only, hey that procrastination mentioned a few posts ago? Yeah. That. And then I lost the link to the Yahoo Photos, and then I stopped visiting Yahoo very much anyway. Except, of course, for the Flickr part.
Then a (handful) of months back I saw a notice on Flickr that the Yahoo Photos was going to be phased out. After all, Yahoo now owns Flickr, a bigger, better, faster bionic picture site. Or something. So briefly I thought I aught go clean up Yahoo again. The Procrastination won.
Then, a few weeks ago, I received an e-mail from Yahoo telling me they could bring my old Yahoo Photos over to Flickr, did I want to do this. And, I did. So, they did. It took a bit (nothing, though, compared to the several years I managed to procrastinate about it), and a few days back I received another e-mail telling me, 'It's Done.'
Which, if you bounce over to my Flickr, you won't see just right off the bat. The dates of upload and the recorded dates I made the photos survived the transition, so they sort to the early end of the Flickr. And of course, the Perversity of the Universe being what it is this occured during time off from Hospital, therefor on my glorious dial-up connection, therefor not the best circumstances to work on Flickr.
There are a few duplicates. Well, more accurately there were a few duplicates. Today's connection is about the best I ever get, and so I sortied through there and sorted out the duplicates. There are some marked Private, like Private so even folks behind the 'Friends and Family' filter there won't see them. Those, mostly, because they are working contact sheets. I'd even originally put those up to the person in the photos could select which ones she wanted for prints.
And there's some other photos of the Ranch, and young pigs, young cows, other young goats (which cows and goats are now older, if even still around. Most of the pigs aren't, anymore). Some family photos. At one point I guess I did clean up the Yahoo collection, because the South Dakota photos I made in 2000 apparently weren't there. And a good chunk of this becomes work I did on film (though some, which show Yours Truly, probably were done using some digital camera, but not one I own).
