So I spent the rest of the morning enjoying my coffee, watching the Weather Channel on Sky TV (when the rain didn't interfere with reception), and working on some photographs. As usual I'm putting them behind a cut, because hey, I've got the Bandwidth Blues here on the Old, Rural, North Central Baja Jorja dial-up connection, even if you don't.
So first of all a bit of surrealism. Our friend T brought up a couple books he'd picked up at a garage sale when he journeyed up here to help us with some construction. T is a carpenter, a very good one, and yes SURPRISE he's out of work just now. So we found some work for him, and he came to do it. Now, he'd found these books at a garage sale 'a while ago', which how long this while is we aren't sure and he can't recall. The books are copyrighted around 1985. One is on close-up photography (Herself grabbed that one and started reading) and one on special effects photography.
One of the photographers in that book built a miniature room set, with two removable walls, a few windows, a door. He mounts it on a second tripod in alignment with his camera and uses it to make some nice surreal images. I've been contemplating building one for my own, and probably will. Then I checked on the copyright date mentioned above, and said to Myself, Myself, we may not need to wait until the miniature room is built...
In case you skipped the cut these are on Flickr; the images are links to the images.

Now after the fact it appears I'd already put this one up on Flickr, because when I went to edit it (add a description and such) a description already existed...
Anyway.

If you don't leave comments, constructive criticism, or even cash then in 20 minutes your computer is going to expectorate on you.
Well, no, not really.
I've worked on a couple other pieces over the weekend as well. Those aren't ready to post yet. I just had to get something up, though. Been feeling a need lately.
